Police Dog Breeds
Police Dogs Centre Holland uses different kinds of Police Dog Breeds. We have been in business since 1987 and over the years we delivered thousands of dogs all over the world.
Types of Police Dog Breeds
Most common types are the following breeds :
- Belgian Malinois
- German Shepherd
- Dutch Shepherd
We have these kinds of breeds constantly in our kennels in Holland and the Czech Republic. In general one can say that these police dog breeds can be trained almost in a natural way. These breeds love to be trained as a police dog and they love to work.
On customers request we also train other breeds of dogs. Golden Retriever or Labrador, or any other kind of dog; you name it and we will work with the breed you like.
This breed of dog is very popular for K9 service work. It can be used for all kinds of different purposes. Like other Belgian Shepherds, the Mailinois is a medium sized dog. The basic color of a Malinois is normally mahogany with black markings on the head. The Belgian Malinois can be used for all kinds of services :
- Detection work
- Patrol work
- Search and rescue work
- Protection dog
Police Dogs Centre Holland uses both males and females in her training programs.
The German Shepherd is a more colorful K9 service dog. They are known for their loyality towards the handler. German Shepherds also are normally very protective towards the handler. This means that German Shepherd can be used for all kinds of services (same as the Belgian Malinois).
The last in line that we mention here, is the Dutch Shepherd. This breed also has a very protective character which means it does normally preform excellent as a patrol dog. But Dutch Shepherds are also trained for detection work. Bomb detection or Narcotics detection training programs often use these kinds of Shepherds.
Of course we also offer other police dog breeds. Just inform us about the breed you would like to be trained as a police dog and we start the search for the police dog breeds you want.
